Advising customers to optimize their fraud prevention and investigation

With IBM Safer Payments and FraudAverse, customers protect billions of payments globally and in real-time with milliseconds response times. Designing and deploying these capabilities requires close collaboration with customers and a deep understanding of the (payment) fraud industry.

Our SME Technical Specialists team primarily deals with translating and proposing requirements for payment fraud detection into the IBM Safer Payments and FraudAverse products. Technical Specialists have a deep understanding of our product portfolio and collaborate with customers to build state-of-the-art implementation that simply work.

In this role, you will be working with global payment service providers who have sophisticated and high-performance requirements around our products. No less than Formula 1 performance optimisation will ensure our products can deliver up to those needs. Just like in Formula 1 racing, we work hard every day to keep our product best-in-market when it comes down to performance, scalability and fit for purpose. It is not for nothing that we have the lowest latency performance in the industry for real-time response.

Responsibilities

In the role, you will be responsible for working with customers and deploying our products alongside customer requirements. This means that you need to understand and learn to speak the language of fraud and risk teams within global payment service providers. You will be responsible for designing rules, models and machine learning prototype to demonstrate to the customer who we detect and optimize fraud investigation. You will also manage the modeling algorithms in order to stay up-to-date with ever evolving fraudulent schemes.

Requirements
  • A strong affinity with the global (payment) fraud detection market
  • Sound communication and collaboration skills, especially with customers and technical staff
  • Good command of today's fraud use cases and application of fraud modeling rules, machine learning and AI practices
  • A willingness to learn and be entrenched in our industry. Once you become part of it, you never want to go back
